Cuff, Bracelet, and Bangle Sizing Measurement Guide
All Livingston Jewelers jewelry is artisan-crafted, My jewelry is one-of-a-kind and unique. Similar style bracelets are created with different material gauge which affects their length. Once you have selected a piece, the best way to determine what size to order is by measuring your actual wrist. Please see below for more instructions on how to measure your wrist for bracelets, cuffs, coils, and bangles.
Measurement Guide for Bracelets, Cuffs, and Bangles
As a jeweler I will say this. A perfect fit is a very loose term. if you have two people with wrists that are identical, you will find that many times they prefer different sizes of bracelets and bangles.
This is not scientific in the least bit, but merely an expression of each persons individual taste and experiences and is completely normal. I have compiled this list below from my own experiances. But if you feel that at a given wrist size that you want a slightly larger or smaller bracelet or bangle, that is fine as you are only expressing your own preferences.
Be sure to use the correct guide below. If you are measuring for a bracelet which normally have a clasp, use the guide just below. If you are measuring for a bangle, make sure you use the chart at the end of the page. For cuffs you want to use the guide below marked for cuffs.
Using a flexible tailor’s tape, measure the circumference of your wrist by fitting it right above the wrist bone. If you do not have tailor’s tape, please ask a friend who has one as these tend to be much more accurate than using string of a printed guide. Please do not use string or any other type of tape.
Match this measurement to the correlating row on my Size Chart, below. For example, a wrist measuring just over six inches would correspond to a woman’s medium.
My bracelets are crafted for maximum style and comfort, and I allow for extra room on your wrist. However, if you are on the cusp between two sizes, you may select the smaller size for a tighter fit, or larger size for a looser fit, depending on your preference.
A medium is my standard stock size, but the majority of my bracelets come in sizes small, medium and large. For additional sizing or questions regarding your measurements, please contact me via my ETSY site for further assistance.

General size recommendations for cuffs
My cuffs are crafted for maximum style and comfort, and I allow for extra room on your wrist. However, if you are on the cusp between two sizes, you may select the smaller size for a tighter fit, or larger size for a looser fit, depending on your preference. I design my cuff bracelets to fit snugly with a 1 to 1.5 inch opening at the back. These are adjustable within a small range.
5" fits a very small (child size or very petite female) wrist.
6" fits a the average female wrist (or a smaller than average male).
7" fits a larger female wrist (or the average male).
8" fits a male with very large wrists.
Measurement Guide for Bangles
Bangle size is determined by the size of your hand and not your wrist.
To determine your bangle size, simply tuck your thumb into the palm of your hand (as if about to put on a bangle) and using tailor’s tape, measure your hand all the way around the set of knuckles closest to your wrist, from knuckle to knuckle. Compare that measurement to the chart.
